A couple of climbers were on the descent gully next to Jackdaw Ridge, when one slipped and took a 10m tumbling fall causing multiple injuries. Keswick team arrived quickly and after an assessment requested air ambulance support. Team medics provided pain relief to the casualty who was then packaged in a vacuum mattress and stretchered to Helimed 58. The man was airlifted to Carlisle hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
