Whilst out on a walk on the shores of Derwentwater a 73 year old woman slipped causing a painful hip dislocation. As the incident occurred near to Friar’s Crag, which is only a kilometer from the Keswick MR base, help soon arrived. Team medics provided pain relief and attempted a reduction of the dislocation. She was then taken by a team vehicle to an awaiting ambulance for onward transfer to hospital.
