Various guests at a nearby hotel heard shouts for help and saw flashing lights at the Surprise View area which overlooks Derwentwater. As there have been a number of serious incidents at this popular view point a small Keswick team was quickly deployed. A search of the area was carried out but nothing of concern was found. A false alarm with good intent.
