The team were called to a walker descending from Helvellyn back towards Swirls car park who had tripped and sustained an ankle injury and was unable to walk. One vehicle with team members left base with others going direct. Meantime the casualty was helped down by members of their party. A team doctor who arrived independently on scene assessed the casualty and gave some pain relief. The casualty made their own way to hospital and the rest of the team were stood down.
