A male mountain biker came off his bike at speed in Whinlatter Forest and suffered facial injuries. A team doctor went directly to the scene and was joined a small team. The team assessed the casualty, gave pain relief and bandaged his badly cut nose before transporting him to the car park from where his wife was able to drive him to hospital.
