A group of 3 walkers had summited Clough Head and had intended descending the Red Screes path down to Thelkeld Knotts. However low cloud had made locating the start of the path across Red Screes difficult. After a long time searching and now unsure of a route down they returned to the summit and requested MR assistance. Three team members parked a Land Rover on the Old Coach Road below Clough Head and made their way to the summit via White Pike. The walkers who were suitably dressed for the conditions had hunkered down by the summit cairn whilst waiting for the Keswick team to arrive. They were then escorted off and driven down to the road in the team vehicle.
