A couple descending the north ridge of Hindscarth came into difficulty when one slipped, injured her ankle and was unable to weight bear. With a long stretcher carry expected three team vehicles were dispatched with others going direct. On arrival pain relief was provided, the ankle splinted, and the casualty packaged for a sledge ride off the side of the Hindscarth ridge down to the old miners track. They then made their way to hospital for an x-ray and further treatment.
