Cockermouth MRT sent a request for support as they were already involved with another rescue on Whiteless Pike. Keswick sent a Sprinter-load of team members to assist. A female walker with a very small child had slipped and broken her ankle above Hause Point on Rannerdale Knotts, fortunately not that far from the road. On Keswick team’s arrival the casualty was already being assessed, treated and packaged by Cockermouth team medic. The casualty was stretchered down to the road to rendezvous with an ambulance.
