Whilst descending Scafell Pike a woman injured her ankle in the slippery boulder field on the path below Styhead Tarn. After calling for help the well prepared woman and husband, along with their two dogs waited for assistance in a group shelter. With Keswick team short on numbers and facing a long stretcher carry a request was made to Penrith MRT for additional muscle. Once on scene pain relief was provided, the ankle splinted, and the woman stretchered down to Seathwaite where the couple made their own way to hospital.
