Cumbria Police received a call reporting that a dog had fallen down a gully on Blencathra. Once contact was made with the dog’s owner, it was established that the dog had sadly died. The owner had made a valiant effort to carry the dog down steep and rough ground. The team deployed to bring them both, safely, down Gate Gill.
