A fell runner almost 20 miles into the “Tea Round” challenge suffered shoulder and collarbone injuries after tripping at Coledale Hause. Passing hikers helped by providing warm layers until Keswick Mountain Rescue Team arrived via Force Crag Mine. Medics assessed the casualty, gave pain relief, and stretchered her down to the valley for onward travel to the hospital.
Due to two simultaneous jobs coming in only 9 minutes apart, the team requested assistance from Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team to handle a similar incident on the Newlands fells while Keswick attended the Coledale casualty.
