May saw team members from Cockermouth, Langdale-Ambleside, and Keswick on Skye a.k.a. the Misty Isle, and for much of the week that’s exactly what it was. This only added to the atmosphere as we ascended the formidable Pinnacle Ridge, and on the following day an airy traverse of the Cuillen from Sgurr a’ Mhadaidh to Sgurr na Banachdich. Our luck ran out as we next targeted, and retreated from, The Inaccessible Pinnacle which would have been a thoroughly miserable experience in the wind and rain. However the weather came good and a trip was made up the amazing Dubh Slabs above Loch Coruisk, and on the final day a climb onto the famous Cioch.
A great week of joint training, exchanging ideas, and working on our mountaineering skills in a different environment.
