An experienced male camper on Dale Head had his tent flattened by weather. Despite being well equipped the man had some bad luck when he went out to sort his tent that was suffering in the wild conditions. Unfortunately a wind gust found his waterproof trousers (he wasn’t wearing them at the time!) and his glasses and blew them away. Unwilling to risk a descent without glasses the man called 999 for a rescue. Four team members, in the company of many frogs who seemed to be enjoying the conditions, made a wet and wind-assisted ascent of Dale Head for a simple retrieve escorting the very grateful man back to Honister.
