A walker slipped near the top of the Hall’s Fell ridge and suffered a painful groin injury. This resulted in slow progress down the hill. As the injured person was getting very cold in the damp conditions a call was made for assistance. The casualty was advised to continue moving down to help generate some warmth while a small MR team made their way up. On arrival the casualty was given warm clothes and pain relief. The casualty along with the team continued slowly down to the roadside and to the casualty’s car.
