A simple slip on the descent of Hall’s Fell resulted in an audible ‘pop’ in a walker’s ankle. Unable to continue a request was made for help. With Keswick low on numbers Penrith MRT were asked to assist. Pain relief was provided, the ankle splinted, and the casualty then stretchered down to the road. The woman was taken by car to hospital for further checks and treatment.
