On a warm and partly sunny day a father and son were walking in the Newlands fells. Part way down the ridge of Hindscarth on the descent to Littletown, Newlands, the father collapsed. The son called 999 for help and started CPR. The Great North Air Ambulance responded very quickly and was able to land close to the casualty. They continued trying to resuscitate the man as members of Keswick MRT arrived. Unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to save him. Our deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the man’s son who did everything possible to help his father, and to the rest of his family and friends.
