A 75 year old man was knocked to the ground when the heavy gate half way up Jenkin Hill closed quickly with a gust of the wind. Unable to weight bear to continue his descent he called for assistance. On arrival the team assessed the man, gave him some strong pain relief and stretchered him down to an awaiting ambulance for onward transfer to hospital.
