A walker had injured his ankle on the Langstrath valley side of Stake Pass and found it difficult to continue. As there is no mobile signal in this area a friend of the walker made their way down to the Langstrath Inn to alert the emergency services. Keswick deployed a team but on the way reports came in that the casualty had managed to self rescue.
