Towards the end of a glorious Easter Sunday a man doing the Coast to Coast started to feel unwell near the top of Lining Crag at the head of Greenup Gill. A Phone Find confirmed his location and a small team was mobilised. Helimed were also tasked to the scene in light of the potentially serious condition. Due to small team member turnout a request for assistance was made to Penrith team in case the long stretcher carry out was necessary. After some skilful flying and an impressive landing on top of Lining Crag the casualty was assessed and transported by Helimed to Stonethwaite where he was discharged to make his own way to Grasmere. Many thanks to both GNAAS and Penrith team.
