Reports were received of an elderly man who had suffered a head injury at his home and was unconscious. A First Responder, who is also a Keswick MR team member, was first to the scene followed by the ambulance service. The ambulance was unable to park close to the man’s house, so MR assistance was requested to help stretcher the casualty to the ambulance. A Keswick MR team doctor also provided support before the man was transferred to hospital at Carlisle.
