A group of mountain bikers on the Old Coach Road above Thelkeld decided to challenge themselves by descending a steep, loose, rocky chute. Unfortunately one of them crashed resulting in a concussion and a probable broken collar bone. Keswick team were able to drive close to the casualty location, provide pain relief, and assist the man down to the vehicles for a transfer to an ambulance at the road head.
