A runner in the Borrowdale Fell Race became unwell near the Honister mine car park. Two Keswick team members watching the race were immediately on scene followed by Pennine Bowland MRT who were supporting the race organisers. More Keswick team arrived shortly after. As the casualty had a suspected heart related medical condition Helimed 08 also attended. After checks by the various medics the man was airlifted to hospital for further assessment and treatment.
