A runner, taking part in a long distance race, sustained an ankle injury whilst descending from Mungrisdale Common headed to Skiddaw House. He hobbled his way down the fell to Skiddaw House where race marshals requested assistance from Keswick MRT. A small team drove a land rover up to Skiddaw House via Dash Falls. The casualty’s ankle was splinted and pain relief given. He was then driven down to the road where a member of the event team met him to arrange onwards travel to hospital.
