The Keswick Mountain Rescue Team responded to Stoneycroft Gill after a participant on an instructed session sustained a serious ankle and lower leg injury during a descent into a pool. Team members accessed the casualty within the ravine, administered analgesia, and stabilised the injured limb. The patient was then securely packaged into a mountain rescue stretcher and evacuated up the steep terrain of the ghyll. Upon reaching the valley road, the casualty was transferred to a waiting ambulance for onward hospital care.
