Keswick team were approached by a teacher from Raughton Head Primary School to see if the team could help with this term’s subject of misty mountains and winding rivers. Specifically they asked if we could send them anything on climbing mountains and mountain rescue. One team member and his partner took up the challenge to help with both subjects. Due to Covid restrictions and not wishing to put other team members at risk a simple scenario was created which could be made with only the two of them. The scenario has a couple of climbers setting off late to climb a snowy and icy Helvellyn and they get benighted. Without head torches they are stuck and so call for a rescue.
If any other schools think this may be useful to show to their pupils or students please feel free to use it.
