Whilst out walking a 50 year old female slipped and badly injured her leg near to Armboth car park on the shores of Thirlmere. The incident was reported to the North West Ambulance Service who, after treating the casualty, requested help from Keswick MRT. A Land Rover was dispatched and the team stretchered the casualty about 100m to the waiting ambulance. A second vehicle was on its way to provide additional team support but was stood down.
