A 64 year old woman slipped and injured her ankle on a walk on Barrow. Unable to continue they called 999 for a rescue. The team approached from Braithwaite, gave some strong analgesia before reducing and splinting her ankle. The woman was then stretchered down to an awaiting ambulance for onward transport to hospital.
