A woman near the top of Walla Crag slipped and heard an ominous ‘crack’ in her ankle. Unable to continue a call was made for help while passing walkers offered immediate assistance. Keswick team provided pain relief and splinted the ankle. The woman was stretchered off the hill and her husband took her to hospital for further checks and treatment.
